At The Aces Vet, we understand how difficult it can be to hear the word cancer in relation to your pet. That is why we are proud to offer access to specialist oncology support through Dr Sarah Mason FRCVS, a highly experienced veterinary oncologist working alongside our practice.
Through her service, OncoTails, Sarah provides referral level oncology expertise while allowing pets to remain under the care of their familiar local veterinary team wherever possible. This approach helps reduce stress for pets and their families while maintaining continuity of care close to home.
Families in Pitsea, Basildon, Wickford and surrounding areas can access specialist guidance, treatment planning and compassionate support without needing to travel to distant referral hospitals unless advanced procedures are required.
Meet Dr Sarah Mason FRCVS
Sarah is a double board-certified specialist in Medical and Radiation Oncology with more than 15 years’ experience working in multidisciplinary referral centres.
In recognition of her outstanding contribution to clinical practice and the veterinary profession, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (FRCVS) in 2024.
Throughout her career, Sarah has supported thousands of pets and their families through cancer diagnosis and treatment. She is known for her calm, practical and balanced approach, offering clear guidance and tailored recommendations that consider both each pet’s medical needs and the realities faced by their family.
