When Should I Vaccinate My Pet?

Start Young

Puppies and kittens usually start vaccinations at 8 weeks old, with follow-ups in the weeks after. Vaccinating early ensures that they receive the protection they need whilst their immunity is still developing.

Keep Boosters Regular

Adult pets need yearly boosters to maintain their immunity – but don't worry, we’ll remind you when they’re due.

Heading Abroad or Boarding

Some destinations require specific vaccination types. Let us know your plans in advance and we’ll help you sort everything in good time.

Don't forget: Vaccination appointments also give us a great opportunity to check your pet’s general health, spot early signs of issues, and keep them feeling their best.

Why Vaccinations Matter

Stop Illness Before It Starts – Protect your pets from life threatening diseases.

Healthy Homes & Communities – Prevent the spread of contagious illnesses to other pets, wildlife, and even humans in some cases (e.g. leptospirosis or rabies for travelers).

Save on Vet Bills – Prevention is always cheaper than a cure and often far less stressful for you and your pet. Vaccinations become even more cost effective when included as part of our health plan - check out of Health Plan page to see how your pet (and pocket) could benefit.

Feel Confident – You’ll know your pet is fully protected whether they’re at the park, a cattery or dog training classes.

Proof of Protection – Up to date vaccinations are often required for boarding, grooming, training classes, or pet travel documentation.

Tailored Protection – Our vets consider your pet’s lifestyle, breed, age, and risks to build a plan that’s right for them. We don't believe in a one size fits all jab list.
